Almost There ....

OMG I can't believe we're nearly going. This time next weekend we'll be getting ready to head off to Dublin on the Monday so we can stay the night nearby the airport so we're there for Tuesdays flight.

Almost ready & organised - few more bits to do & sort out and i've got to start the packing - i'm getting the suitcases from the loft tomorrow and will do it over the week. We got the travel insurance sorted last week so thats all done.

We managed to get booked into Chef Mickeys back last week - I have been trying for ages to get a reservation and countless calls to the USA to get a place but finally after numerous checks online I got a cancellation for Sunday 13th at 9.45am - can't wait for that.

Must remember to book the car parking at Dublin this week too - save a fortune if you pre-book.

Lauren is getting so excited now - she keeps looking up videos on You Tube :-D

Disney Park Tickets & Discovery Cove Tickets arrived yesterday WOOP!!!

Just the Universal & Islands of Adventure ones left to arrive not but they'll come when the tickets from Tour America arrive.

It actually dawned on me yesterday that it's US going .. not other people ... US OMG LOL.

So pleased the tickets have arrived - was getting a little worried cause the last day things can arrive in the post for us is a week Friday (we're heading away up to Dublin before the post will arrive on the Monday before we fly and we don't get post here on Saturdays).

So what is there left to do .... well we need to arrange holiday insurance - one that covers bad weather and one that covers any strikes with the airlines lol (and of course all the other bits you need covering).

Oh and we've also got to fill out the immigration form online this week too so we'll do both that & the insurance on Monday.

Then all there is left to do is pack I guess. It's so handy holidaying out of season - i've managed to get a load of summer clothes in the sales and all our sun lotions on offer for next to nothing too :o)

Just a quick update to say this morning we booked Discovery Cove with a Dolphin swim for all 3 of us :-D

So excited – when we went 11 years ago DC wasn’t there so this is a first and Lauren is over the age limit so she can swim with them too.

We’ve had a few friends do DC in the last few years and they’ve all said how magical it is.

We’ve booked it for Monday 14^th November so 6 days after we arrive – we figured it’ll be a rest day going there and after nearly a week it’ll be nice to have a quieter day :-D

It's been a while since I last posted but .........

WE BOOKED!!!!!!!!

Finally after weeks of researching & trying all different travel companies - Jeeze it all takes so much time – I had various different tabs open on the internet and word documents all over the place with prices …. But we got there in the end … Phew!!!!

So we’re heading off on Tuesday 8^th November 2011 for 14 nights coming back on the 22^nd. We leave from Dublin travelling direct to Orlando with Aer Lingus. Hire Car waiting for us when we land.

We’ll be staying in the Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa in a two bedroomed apartment.

We live 2 hrs away from Dublin airport so we’ll be heading up to Dublin the day before and staying in the Travel Lodge so we’re all reading for the check in the next morning without the need for a mega early morning and 2 hr drive on the 8th.

We told Lauren on Sunday – 3 days after we had booked it and there were a few hairy moments where S & I were taking about it and realised she was sat there watching TV LOL. Luckily she never cottoned on.

Sunday we did a Quiz of 20 questions & got Lauren to fill it out. (excuse the quality of the photos - I took them on the iPhone with low lighting)

Then she had to take the first letter of each answer which spelled ...... O P E N T H E B O X

She looked at us and was like what box … S then got this HUGE box out of the understairs cupboard and she opened it .. and out popped Mickey ....

At the bottom of the box she found a Minnie Mouse top .....

And a very special envelope ......

Which held a very special invite ..... :o)

She was beaming and totally surprised ....

Three days later she's still bouncing off the walls with excitement and is already counting down the days until we go .. luckily we don't have that long to wait.
